lyrics
A nest full of vipers awaits,
Then dances with wolves outside these fiery gates.
So feel free to read while you wait.
Just hold up the ceiling while foundations shake.
Our hopes drowned in the river,
Their ghosts ground into dirt,
They float face down bound together.
Cling to this curse and you’ll get what you don’t deserve.
Too little arrives all too late,
You’ve sawn off as much of your tongue as you’ll take.
So farewell to arms as they break.
Just standing ovations lip serviced disgrace.
Our hopes drowned in the river,
Their ghosts ground into dirt,
They float face down bound together.
Cling to this curse and you’ll get what you don’t deserve.
Watch it implode,
Wholesale.
Winds of change blow,
Bail.
You’ve given your life to this higher cause,
The dead can’t speak,
But money still talks.
Money still talks,
The dead can’t speak but money still talks.

I remember in my childhood near a village there was a place full of dead trees, red and dead from all the chemicals that were dumped into the nearby bay from the chemical plant. That's exactly the vibes I get from this effort, similar in story or not. Morbid! But hopefully a wake up call for some as well. Aleksei Tepljakov
Ah! My first entree into TSPSI, and I love it. Angular, edgy, angry, and accomplished. Like vintage NIN on meth. Can't wait to go backward through their discography. dr_shaun
The video for "Theurgist," from True Widow's forthcoming "Avvolgere," is as prismatic & hypnotic as the song it accompanies. Bandcamp New & Notable Aug 15, 2016
I love the light and shade between Bryan's dirty and Emma's forlorn vocals. There are so many layers to this recording that are driven home through contrast. Plus the riffs are brilliant and get me moving. I can't stop listening to Thou and Emma in general lately. spaceman2250
